ica educational foundation

In 2002, the International Caterers Association created the ICA Educational Foundation, a not-for-profit venture created to raise money for continuing catering education.

The ultimate goal of the ICAEF is to create a solid financial base that will allow the ICA to reduce membership dues per company. This, in turn, would increase membership which would then allow the ICA to give members more educational benefits. Another goal of the ICAEF is to provide scholarship money for deserving caterers, enabling them to attend the ICA's Educational Conference at reduced rates.

Currently, the Board of Trustees is working on developing criteria for scholarships; developing educational and financial goals for the ICAEF; creating criteria by which money can be dispensed; and developing a plan of action for financially enriching the ICAEF.

The ICAEF was setup under article 501(c)(3) of the IRS tax code. All donations to the foundation are 100% tax deductible.
